Council on Science and Biotechnology Development - This council was developed by Governor Rick Perry with a mission is to bring more research dollars to Texas higher education institutions, encourage university researchers to get products that advance the quality of life to the market and create biotechnology jobs - and growing companies - across Texas.

Texas Department of Economic Development - Corporate Expansion & Recruitment serves businesses that want to expand existing Texas operations as well as out-of-state businesses interested in relocating or expanding in Texas. Corporate Expansion & Recruitment serves as a focal point for disseminating business leads to Texas communities.

City of Houston - Houston offers a wide range of incentive programs to encourage business and industry to choose Houston when making expansion or relocation decisions, such as: Tax Abatement Programs: Houston offers four types of tax abatements: Economic Development Abatements, Redevelopment Abatements, Residential Abatements, and Brownfield Abatements. All require that an application be submitted prior to initiating work on the project in order to be considered by the city.
